Kill python nodes in ROS2 Galactic

Hello, I am running some ROS2 nodes out of the terminal and if I close the terminal all C++ Nodes terminate but the Python nodes continue running. Is there a way to force them to stop? I already took a look at lifecycle nodes, but as far as I understand they are only available for C++. Thanks
