Jetson Nano Melodic setup

Is there a jetpack/python/opencv/tensorflow working setup that will allow both older Python 2.7 and 3.7 flavored ros nodes work? Does this require separate virtual python environments? While I was able to get some older python nodes to make and run, I've failed to get to the point where I can import opencv (tried 4.1, 4.2) I suspect it has something to do with the latest cuda 10.2, but after three weeks of failed installs I am crying uncle.
