Is it possible to simulate a hexacopter using ROS and gazebo? It has been done for quadcopters for I haven't found anything for hexarotors. I was wondering if it is very different

Yes, but I saw in this post http://forum.erlerobotics.com/t/erle-... that there isn't a Erle-hexacopter model yet. I am very new to gazebo so I don't know if the simulation of the hexacopter is a lot different from the simulation of a quadcopter.

You're right I haven't found the Gazebo model. I think you'll have to do it by yourself. If the hexa copter use the same motors than the quadcopters then you can take the existing simulation and duplicate them.

Ok thanks! So it is possible to create my own model in gazebo?

Sure ! But if you're new to Gazebo I strongly recommend to follow the Gazebo tutorials first to learn the basics and check the Erle's tutorial too.
