Microsoft Kinect not connected [closed]
I am trying to connect Microsoft kinect with ROS . i am using ubuntu 11.04 (64 bit) with fuerte . when i connect it using usb cable and launch the openni node , it gives me the warning that device is not connected . if anyone knows the solution plz let me know . also tell me is the xbox kinect only solution for this?
i have seen all the threads related to this problem but still it is unsolvable.
thank you
Is it connected to a USB 3.0 port? Then try a USB 2 port.
it looks that you have a problem with usb interface and kinect......
please have a look at gspca_kinect on google to resolve this issue...
like run this command (rmmod -f gspca_kinect)

hope this helps!
thanks dornhege and Rizqa for help . It is connected to usb 2 port .i,ll try gspca_kinect and let u know as soon as possible.
I am working with Ubuntu and Ros Groovy, I have the same problem as you. The strange thing is that I have two computers with Groovy, and one is working fine with the Kinect and the other is not. The only difference between the two computers is that I did some updates on the one that is not working
thanks CarolineQ
I have tried (rmmod -f gspcs_kinect) but it says that gspca_kinect doesnt exist.. dornhege i am using port 2
