Clear RVIZ memory of dead/unused static tf's

I have a case where i wish to keep RVIZ open after killing the nodes updating the TF's that are visualized. When the nodes are started up again they will publish the same tf's but under new names. To avoid RVIZ listing/remembering a long list of TF's that arent ever updated or used, is there a way to clear that memory?
