ROS and Max MSP
Hello! Can ROS be interfaced with Max MSP to create interactive robot performance art?

This is not what you came here to hear, but what have you found yourself?
A quick Google for "ros max msp" should quickly return some results.
Hmm, I did google that and variations like "max/msp ros" This is what I've found: https://index.ros.org/r/msp/ and it's not what I'm looking for since MSP stands for a different topic there. I hate forums and wouldn't ask questions here unless I wasn't sure what to do. If you found something please feel free to send it because I'm new to ros and max and can use some help.
Ok. That's a nice thing to say.
In any case: if Google (or
<insert random search engine here>
) doesn't turn up anything, we'll need to wait for someone who frequents this board and happens to know Max MSP and has written a ROS package which can communicate with it.Unfortunately I don't expect that intersection to be very large.
It never hurts to ask and there are no stupid questions. The fact that it's unfortunate that the intersection is not very large is a perfect reason to put the question out there for others to see. This is me making an effort to reach out for help, despite the fact that the only answer I've gotten is to try searching google, which could be reason enough to hate forums.
No, that's not what I said.
What I was wondering about is what you've already found yourself, before posting here.
Assuming that people here should just understand you've searched yourself, and that you only post here because you haven't found something is not something you can do. I've been a member here for almost 9 years now, and if I would have a dollar for every newcomer who hadn't done any research before dumping there problem here, I'd not have to work any more.
You only posted
without any indication whether you'd looked around, where you looked, what you found and if you did, why the results were not what you expected or ...(more)
Furthermore:
Where does this come from? Your comment is the first time the word stupid appears here. No one has judged your question to be stupid.
Also:
Me writing "the intersection is probably not very large" was an attempt at expectation management.
ROS Answers is mostly frequented by people just starting out.
They tend not to write integrations with other frameworks/tools.
It might also be unfair to assume that every new comer hasn't done any research before asking a question. Looks like you're assuming the worst as well.
I did not assume anything.
Hence the question.
If I'd assumed you hadn't done any searching, I would've just closed the question with a "please search yourself, use Google".
