Creating 2D map using Kinect
I am a beginner at ROS and i want to create a 2d map showing obstacles for navigation using kinect i have tried using hector_slam gmapping depthimage_to_laserscan
i am able to get /scan and my laserscan works in rviz but i don't know what to do next i rviz does not display any map please any help will be greatly appreciated i've been stuck on this problem for weeks can't seem to find any solution for my problem
