Odroid XU4 & URG-04LX-UG01 laser scanner
I am new to robotics but have a project involving a DrRobot Jaguar. I was given an Odroid XU4 to try, and installed Armbian. I tried compiling the source code for Ros but it falls over. Searching this forum suggests that Ubuntu works but I'm loathe to switch if there is a simple fix to the issue.
I'm not entirely sure if I'm even heading in the right direction with this. I want to get the laser scanner demonstrably working on the Odroid before installing anything into the robot. The problem is that the manufacturer only provides Windows drivers. I came across Ros via Aria because that apparently supports the scanner.
I'd like to know whether it's even possible to get the scanner working with Ros and Aria before I try to get help with the compilation. I'd be grateful for any advice.
