Give some hints to use lidar for turtlebot instead of kinect [closed]

Hi. I'm planning to use laser scanner for doing gmapping instead kinect. I think for do that I should modify tf and launch file in

/opt/ros/diamondback/stacks/turtlebot_apps/turtlebot_navigation/gmapping_demo.launch

Can you give me some advice to do this?

Try it. If it breaks, ask a question. See the various tutorials on gmapping, too.
