$ rosmake urdfdom_model # only needed if installed from source
$ rosrun urdf check_urdf my_robot.urdf # older versions
$ rosrun urdf_parser check_urdf my_robot.urdf # electric and fuerte
$ rosrun urdfdom check_urdf my_robot.urdf # groovy
$
