Ah i solved the problem by installing "spacenavd" in Ubuntu Software Center. This is a newer revision of the driver.

Ah i solved the problem by installing "spacenavd" in Ubuntu Software Center. This is a newer revision of the ~~driver.~~driver. I use the "SpaceNavigator" product from 3DConnexion
