Hi everyone,

I was working with IRSensor and i found out that there are two different implementations of the IRSensors. The IRSensor available in diamondback, most of the part is commented out while the one available on-line in the site https://kforge.ros.org/gazebo/trac/br... have no line commented out. I didn't understand the problem why the lines are commented out.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

I have created plugins for IR Sensor and Sonar Sensor. I want to create a package for both so that it can be tested on other computer and then submitted to ROS. Further i would like to mention here that i have created Sonar Sensor (IRSensor and its controller are already present in gazebo) by the name of SonarSensor and its controller named "sonar_array" as well. I have also done some changes to files called MultiRayShape and gz.h( i have added sonarIface in the gz.h). Similarly xacro files are also created for IRSensor and Sonar Sensor.

I would like to know how to create package for sonar sensor, IRSensor plugin and SonarSensor plugin. Any Help in this regard will be appreciated.

I have downloaded the code using

  • source /opt/ros/diamondback/setup.bash
  • sudo apt-get install python-setuptools
  • sudo easy_install rosinstall
  • mkdir -p ~/ros-gazebo/workspace
  • rosinstall ~/ros-gazebo /opt/ros/diamondback ~/ros-gazebo/workspace
  • cd ~/ros-gazebo/workspace
  • svn co https://code.ros.org/svn/ros-pkg/stac... simulator_gazebo
  • source ~/ros-gazebo/setup.bash
  • rosmake gazebo

The same procedure is also described in this post.

Now when i use 'roslaunch gazebo_worlds wg_world.launch' it gives me the following error.

/home/student/ros-gazebo/workspace/simulator_gazebo/gazebo/build/gazebo/build/server/gazebo: error while loading shared libraries: libparallel_quickstep.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Any idea how to fix this problem??

PS: i have one instalation in /opt/ros. and this installation is in /home/ros-gazebo/workspace/simulator_gazebo/...

I added a module in gazebo, it is working properly and not giving any error. Also i can see the rostopic but i am not able to see it in rviz. My question is that is it necessary to re compile the rviz. if yes, then how to compile it.
