2021-07-07 02:27:36 -0500 | marked best answer | colcon build moveit2 failure because of moveit_ros_warehouse collect2 error I'm building moveit2 from this tutorial: moveit2_tutorials.picknik.ai/doc/getting_started/getting_started.html I'm on Ubuntu 20.04 and my ros2 version is foxy, which was built from debian. Rosdep returns all rosdeps installed successfully and moveit2's repos have been successfully cloned. I'm getting this when building: --- stderr: moveit_ros_warehouse /usr/bin/ld: libmoveit_warehouse.so.: undefined reference to `MD5' collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status Here is the code from colcon build:
I see this and look closer at ws/build/moveit_ros_warehouse/CMakeFiles and cat CMakeError.log. Here is the cat: (more) |

2021-06-24 02:08:51 -0500 | commented answer | Rosdep install not locating definitions [rostime] [catkin] [rospy] Noted. Thank you. |
2021-06-24 02:06:23 -0500 | marked best answer | Rosdep install not locating definitions [rostime] [catkin] [rospy] I'm following this tutorial: https://docs.ros.org/en/foxy/Tutorial... When I run rosdep install -i --from-path src --rosdistro foxy -y, I get the following output: My understanding is that rosdep looks for package names and keys. If I apt search rostime, for example, I get librostime0d as output. I have tried modifying package.xml with the search results. I have tried looking through rosdep's base.yaml as this question suggests: https://answers.ros.org/question/3501... but my rosdep isn't located at ros/foxy/rosdep, it's located inside /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/rosdep2 and that folder doesn't contain a base.yaml file. When searching for the packages using dpkg -S I am able to find them. Where can I modify rosdep's definitions if not ros/foxy/rosdep/base.yaml or how can I otherwise instruct rosdep to locate the definitions? |
