While debugging audio drivers on the pr2 robot the package pr2_robot was unintentionally uninstalled. I cannot seem to install ros-indigo-pr2-robot again. pr2_robot is also a dependency for pr2-core which needs to be reinstalled.

I followed the instructions here.
http://www.clearpathrobotics.com/asse...
and here
http://www.clearpathrobotics.com/asse...

The problem being the prior Clearpath server is no longer available as far as I can tell

http://clearpathrobotics.com/pr2-pack...
ec2-52-37-150-147.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com/ http://ec2-52-37-150-147.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com/

I emailed Clearpath for a replacement location and they replied with this url

http://52.35.195.135/
http://ec2-52-35-195-135.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com/

I tired to get the key via this command

sudo wget http://ec2-52-35-195-135.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com/ubuntu/pr2packages.gpg | sudo apt-key add

and then updated my source list to look like this

deb http://ec2-52-35-195-135.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com/ubuntu trusty pr2
deb http://ec2-52-35-195-135.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com/ubuntu trusty main

This includes many of the pr2 debs but does not include the install for ros-indigo-pr2-robot.
I still get this result

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install ros-indigo-pr2-robot

This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

E: Package 'ros-indigo-pr2-robot' has no installation candidate

Is there anther location I am missing that needs to be added to my source lists or a way to manually install ros-indigo-pr2-robot so that pr2-core can be installed?

Please let me know any additional information that may help.
Thanks for any assistance.

Thank you for the assistance. I had reported the problem to them both before posing onto ROS answers.

The pr2 server computers were returned from Clearpath Robotics in that configuration. On a side note the launch file is still not running. It dies on start up error code -11. No other details. Works file on my laptop. I am assuming face_detector is not compatible with opencv 3

Thank you this does seem like a solution with the code cloned or with a higher level launch file.

2016-08-24 10:07:52 -0600 asked a question Error: Cascade File haarcascade_frontalface_alt.xml

Moving from ROS Hydro to Indigo on the PR2 robot (via Clearpath Robotics upgrade), the face_detector package (git) did not work. I have purged and reinstalled through apt-get and used git clone.

When running

$ roslaunch face_detector face_detector.wide.launch

I get

[ERROR]: Cascade file /usr/share/opencv/haarcascades/haarcascade_frontalface_alt.xml doesn't exist.

I have found the file at the following locations.

$ locate haarcascade_frontalface
/opt/ros/indigo/share/OpenCV-3.1.0-dev/haarcascades/haarcascade_frontalface_alt.xml
/opt/ros/indigo/share/OpenCV-3.1.0-dev/haarcascades/haarcascade_frontalface_alt2.xml
/opt/ros/indigo/share/OpenCV-3.1.0-dev/haarcascades/haarcascade_frontalface_alt_tree.xml
/opt/ros/indigo/share/OpenCV-3.1.0-dev/haarcascades/haarcascade_frontalface_default.xml

Is there a solution to this other than sudo cp?

Thanks

2013-08-26 04:57:25 -0600 asked a question ROS with DLL or WinROS with Wine?

Hello all,

This is my first question feel free to ask me edit it. I am integrating a 3rd party USB sensor into a Kuka Youbot. I am currently prototyping on a Dell machine before moving code to the Youbot. This is all in ROS Fuerte. The API is contained inside a .DLL with a optional .LIB, I also have various header files (C++) for dynamic linking. I have been trying to find a DLL opening function in Ubuntu C++/python or a DLL wrapper/converter without luck.

My current ideas are using either Winelib to compile with DLL opening or WinRos with Wine to run the node on Ubuntu. I have no idea if writing a node for WinRos and porting it to Wine would work what so ever?

Thanks for any info/help
