2016-01-16 12:41:34 -0600 asked a question If ROS/OpenCV isn't "needed" to get sensors's sensory input, explain a way I could.

Be thorough and include in your explanation steps such as (if applicable): "buy robot" "in its manual" "in your code you'd type" "the syntax" "etc"

So the robot I buy CAN give me the commands I need to get the sensors senses? Ex. "prepare getSound(agr sound moment)"

Because I'm very desperate to put my AI in a robot that has camera & accelometor & earphones or other sensor/s and I was told I can only get sensors's sensory input by ROS/OpenCV(for camera), so I'm thinking I'm stuck with only vision or maybe "other" types of sensors unless I can get them all.

If I can send a motor signals so easy, why can't I receive motor/other signals so easy? As a sensor? Is there any I can buy and use as sensors? I don't want to have to install ROS to get sensory input.

Confused, is ROS needed if all I want is to send motors signals? Like send 10110 to make a motor turn clockwise. Does my robot/microcontroller come with the code I'll need when I buy a robot?

2016-01-13 22:53:08 -0600 asked a question Is it possible for someone to setup ROS for me?

And have it be for windows? What about for Windows XP?

2016-01-13 22:51:15 -0600 asked a question What are some examples of the code I'd write that be for capturing sounds or acceleration?

As a example of the example I'm wondering about, OpenCV captures a camera's images by typing in not c++ code but their own "commands" code, so, what would ROS's be for capturing sounds from a microphone, or acceleration from a accelometor, or feels by feel sensors? Just wanting to see how long the code commands/keywords are to do the capturing etc.

2016-01-13 20:07:29 -0600 commented answer Does ROS allow me to get the sounds/feels/accelometer from my robot's sensors?

Like Idk if I should get someone to set it all up for me, I need the install to be as easy as OpenCV and the library commands that I type as code with my c++ code and just that, nothing else more further deep.

With OpenCV, and now ROS, I'v gotten really scared at how complex it'd be now, is there some easy way for me to buy a robot with the ROS so I only have to code my c++ and put in their library commands? I mean ROS's super-extra installation steps are just, I need it to be like OpenCV I can't do them.

? I don't see anywhere on the Website that says it does other than 3D modeling.......
