hi. i want to run ar_sys package . But i dont know that how i will define my laptop's camera to ROS . And i dont know how can i pass the proper launcher parameters (see launch files for details) to meet my camera device, calibration URI, pointing to the correct board configuration.

May u explain that with picture or video or explain it here ? Thanks.

when i try to run roslaunch ar_sys single_board.launch

There is this Error :

hi i am new use on ROS. i wanna run ar_sys package but i miss something when i try it . i need help about that someone will help me step by step.

For example normally i couldn't run usb_cam but i learned that from ros.org but there still missings.("rosrun usb_cam usb_cam_node" ) i still cant see my webcam visions.(it definition webcam but there is no vision or pic.)

so i need help for that who someone can explain every thing step by step. with mail. or fcebook. or hangsout.

i have usb cam or can i do that with my laptop's camera ?

Firstly :

 "Fixed Frame No tf data. Actual error: Fixed Frame [world] does not exist"

probably my camera is not define to ROS. How can i do that ?

Secondly : i try to run this line :

rosrun tf static_transform_publisher 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 map my_frame 100

But i have this error:

Fixed Frame [world] does not exist

Thirdly : Have i to use special camera for ar_sys package ? (like we have to use lidar scanner in hector slam.)

i want to work on Hector Slam . But i don't know that i will use which model camera ?

i have a4tech PK635k webcam but probably it is necessery for Hector Slam. How can i learn camera models for hector slam ? thanks.

hi i am beginner. and i try to install ar_sys pack. and

when i run it

ERROR: cannot launch node of type [uvc_camera/uvc_camera_node]: uvc_camera ROS path [0]=/opt/ros/indigo/share/ros ROS path [1]=/opt/ros/indigo/share ROS path [2]=/opt/ros/indigo/stacks process[ar_single_board-3]: started with pid [28714]


it gave me this error.

my friend say that :

you need to clone uvc_camera to your workspace

$ cd ~/catkin/src $ git clone https://github.com/ktossell/camera_umd $ cd .. $ catkin_make $ . devel/setup.bash $ run roslaunch you need


but there is no src file in catkin documents. i don't know how can i find that.

my system is 14.04 trusty/ indigo ros version thanks...
