Is there any reason for the the difference between in saving configuration in RVIZ and saving perspectives in RQT? RVIZ remembers which config file it was opened with and I can just ctrl-s to update it. On rqt, I need to export the perspective, selecting the file path again every time I do it.

The same goes for the basic usage example (i.e. generating deb packing files for a single ros package) described on https://github.com/ros-infrastructure... . This simple example would make bloom easier to understand upon the first contact with it.

I've been looking for sometime for a detailed overview of what exactly bloom does and how, so this answer was really enlightening. Shouldn't an explanation like this be part of the bloom wiki?

It seems the rosdistro script was marked as obsolete on https://github.com/ros-infrastructure... , but no reason was informed and the docs weren't updated. As the script was commented out from setup.py, it is not installed anymore.

I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 64bits with ROS Indigo, and I'm facing the same situation as you. Did you find a way to call "rosdistro [command]" on the terminal?
