2012-05-07 04:45:24 -0500 | commented question | stop: unknown instance Yes. I run sudo ./install.bash wlan0 command. But that didnt help. With a clean (and more stable) installation, everything seems to work. |
2012-05-04 04:59:58 -0500 | answered a question | stop: unknown instance I wiped clean everything. Installed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid) + ROS Diamondback So far, I am not getting this error. This is not a good solution, but it worked. |

2012-05-03 04:54:57 -0500 | commented answer | Turtlebot Upstart Install Failure I am having a similar problem. http://answers.ros.org/question/33198/stop-unknown-instance But installing daemon tools didn't solve mine. Did you do something else to fix this? |
2012-05-03 04:23:07 -0500 | asked a question | stop: unknown instance Relatively new turtlebot user. turtlebot@turtlebot1:/$ sudo service turtlebot stop
My problem is similar to http://answers.ros.org/question/12933/turtlebot-upstart-install-failure Also, I can start as many instances as I want without any warning: turtlebot@turtlebot1:~$ sudo service turtlebot start Communication with master fails: turtlebot@Turtlebot-WS:~$ rostopic echo /diagnostics ERROR: Unable to communicate with master! What is missing? |
2012-05-03 04:22:09 -0500 | asked a question | stop: unknown instance Relatively new turtlebot user. Next, I started turtlebot service. Although turtlebot service is started (3 times) communication with master fails: My problem is similar to http://answers.ros.org/question/12933/turtlebot-upstart-install-failure What is missing? Before you ask, ouput of ps axuf (more) |
2012-05-02 04:27:06 -0500 | commented answer | Can't access turtlebot through ttyUSB0 I had a similar problem. I followed the instructions here, and got my turtlebot working for a day. I shutdown everything at the weekend. On monday, I was back to zero. I am getting "Failed to open port /dev/ttyUSB0" What can cause this? |

2012-04-26 02:28:10 -0500 | answered a question | Visualizing Turtlebot Kinect Data - Empty menu on New Display window Nope, that link doesn't help. I couldn't get there. I cannot add a Camera or PointCloud2 since nothing is listed at the New Display window. If you can open the following image from the RViz user guide: http://mirror.umd.edu/roswiki/attachments/rviz(2f)UserGuide/new_display_dialog.png In my case, there are no options listed. |
2012-04-25 23:55:45 -0500 | asked a question | Visualizing Turtlebot Kinect Data - Empty menu on New Display window New turtlebot user. I was able to teleoperate turtlebot. Now I am following "Visualizing Turtlebot Kinect Data" tutorial. When I click the Add button on RViz window, New Display window opens, but there is nothing listed to add. Do I need to install anything special before running RViz? |
