Thanks. That gave me an idea: always try to download URL, but keep a copy just in case. In build.gradle I changed this:

buildscript { 
  apply from: ""  

To this:

buildscript {
    def f = new File("buildscript.gradle") 
    new URL("").withInputStream{ i -> f.withOutputStream{ it << i }}    
    } catch (all) { 
      //do nothing, keep cached script 
    apply from: "buildscript.gradle"  

So I keep a local copy, but if available, downloads from internet.

I have made a rosjava package following the instructions at . However, it generates multiple executables. So, when I try to execute my package:

pete@Machine:~/catkin_ws$ rosrun mypackage_rosjava mySubproject_rosjava  com.github.mypackage_rosjava.mySubproject_rosjava.MyMain

[rosrun] You have chosen a non-unique executable, please pick one of the following:
1) /home/pete/catkin_ws/src/mypackage_rosjava/mySubproject_rosjava/build/scripts/mySubproject_rosjava
2) /home/pete/catkin_ws/src/mypackage_rosjava/mySubproject_rosjava/build/install/mySubproject_rosjava/bin/mySubproject_rosjava
3) /home/pete/catkin_ws/src/mypackage_rosjava/mySubproject_rosjava/build/scripts/mySubproject_rosjava
4) /home/pete/catkin_ws/src/mypackage_rosjava/mySubproject_rosjava/build/install/mySubproject_rosjava/bin/mySubproject_rosjava

If I delete scripts from build/script, everything works nice, but it's annoying. Am I doing something wrong?

Hello, I tried to compile a rosjava package without internet connection and it complained about not being able to reach ""

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

After that, I tried again with internec connection and it compiled. I would like to be able to code without internet connection. Is it possible? How? Thanks

Last version of slam_gmapping can manage laser scans from different sensors. You just have to publish both laserscans into the same topic. Gmapping handles transformations on its own.

I have used a modified version of stage simulator for ros (from Gonçalo Cabrita) and gmapping to test it. Gmapping maps are built using both simulated lasers, so I guess it is ok.
