Problems running ros_serial on a Arduino_uno

I am using ROS Indigo with a Arduino_uno attached to the computer USBport. I keep getting an error:

[INFO] [WallTime: 1478621281.597881] ROS Serial Python Node [INFO] [WallTime: 1478621281.607988] Connecting to /dev/ttyACM0 at 9600 baud [ERROR] [WallTime: 1478621283.746372] Mismatched protocol version in packet: lost sync or rosserial_python is from different ros release than the rosserial client

Any help would be much appreciated.
