rviz plugin doesn't show up [closed]

Hi,

I was trying to write an rviz plugin and therefore followed the tutorial: http://mediabox.grasp.upenn.edu/roswiki/doc/api/rviz_plugin_tutorials/html/panel_plugin_tutorial.html

I download the precompiled package (sudo apt-get install ...) and I can just open rviz and add the TeleOp panel

I download the visualization_tutorials code from github try to set all pathes and use catkin_make. When I do that it builds my library, but I cannot see/add the plugin in rviz.

Did anybody of you experience the same problem? Any idea what needs to be done with the code from Github in order to see the panel? Did i maybe forget a set a path correctly?
