Hi,

How can I display an .tif image on RVIZ. I want to display a google map image (already downloaded) about the operation scenario.

I am not sure how to directly visualize a .tif image in rviz but a solution that comes into my mind is that you can read image using openCV and publish it on a topic using cv_bridge.

I asked this same question a few months ago. No one seems to have a solution just yet, but people are working on various mapping solutions for ROS.

i have found a solution to display tiff image, that is to use some external image software that is compatible with RVIZ. please find one online. this maybe the way out.
