[meta] karma vs buttons curiosities (no edit but a delete button on anwers.ros) [closed]
As this site's FAQ states, everyone with karma > 75 can edit wiki posts. But on no wiki posts (like this one), neither question nor answer, I see an edit button. However, I see one on my own questions and answers.
Instead, I see a close button on every question, and a delete button on every question and answer, although I see no legitimation for it in that karma list. Assuming those actions are included in 1000: edit any answer I should not see those buttons. Additionally, I tried the delete button on the last spam question, but nothing happens.
It would be great if someone could check my account. It would be fabulous if the karma list in the FAQ would be correct and complete.
- Indication for not beeing correct: It states 100: retag other's questions, but I'm quite sure half a year ago when I had above 300 karma I still have been annoyed of bad tagging I couldn't fix.
- Indication for not beeing complete: Sometimes we see new users aren't allowed to post links. As this is not documented it leads to confusion. Also I disapprove that limitation, is this a kindergarten?
The "inability to insert links" is an anti-spam measure. There are two settings: 1) insert link suggestion in plain text and 2) insert real link. Perhaps better explanations should be given to the users. 1) possibly could be reduced to 1, but it would be up to this site's administrators.
