[meta] karma vs buttons curiosities (no edit but a delete button on anwers.ros)

As this site's FAQ states, everyone with karma > 75 can edit wiki posts. But on no wiki posts (like this one), neither question nor answer, I see an edit button. However, I see one on my own questions and answers.

Instead, I see a close button on every question, and a delete button on every question and answer, although I see no legitimation for it in that karma list. Assuming those actions are included in 1000: edit any answer I should not see those buttons. Additionally, I tried the delete button on the last spam question, but nothing happens.

It would be great if someone could check my account. It would be fabulous if the karma list in the FAQ would be correct and complete.

The "inability to insert links" is an anti-spam measure. There are two settings: 1) insert link suggestion in plain text and 2) insert real link. Perhaps better explanations should be given to the users. 1) possibly could be reduced to 1, but it would be up to this site's administrators.

These are great questions for askbot upstream. http://askbot.org/en/questions/

Did so for the karma list but wouldn't want to bother them about the button curiosities without assuring our FAQ matches our config.

Whatever, upstream post done.

@felix is the delete button issue still there (seems like it is as other user mentions this elsewhere)? I believe it was a bug at one point that I've fixed. Are you still unable to retag?

Asked by Evgeny on 2013-03-27 11:11:42 UTC

Correct, the retag started working for me in the meantime (code or just karma~600 issue?). I still have a delete button on each Q&A, which I believe is not justified (and didn't work on some spam posts). Thanks for your work, Evgeny!
