Not sure how long this has been in the "stack" but does the existence of pantilt.inc and the ModelCamera definition in stage.hh mean that there is now hope for subscribing to camera images in stage?

If so, should this be some sort of plugin ala gazebo, or a new addition to stageros.cpp?

Looks like that ticket migrated to https://github.com/rtv/Stage/issues/34

I doubt stageros will add that simulated device any time soon, unless someone is motivated to do it.

You can make your own version fairly easily and experiment with it. When you feel you have a solution that is generally useful, submit an enhancement ticket with your patches attached.

Creating a plugin interface for stage seems worthwhile, but not trivial.
