Documentation for ros2 costmap_2d

Hello all,

Since the nav2 package does not come with a coverage path planner, I am planning to implement my own grid-based coverage planner. During the implementation stage, I realize that I need clear documentation that states what different values in the cost map cell represent. After doing some googling, all I found was a wiki page for ros1 (http://wiki.ros.org/costmap_2d) costmap, but I did not find any for ros2.

Thus, my question is, is the documentation for costmap_2d on ros1 still update-to-date for ros2?
