I installed recently ubuntu 20.04 version, and I can't install any version of ros2, because I keep getting the same error. E: The repository 'http://packages.ros.org/ros2/ubuntu jammy InRelease' is not signed.

I tried so many steps to fix it, but still that happens. I'm new on thing.

Hey There,

I am a newbie like you to ROS2, could you elaborate more. Have you followed the steps as in the wiki

https://docs.ros.org/en/humble/Instal...

from the error it looks like it hasnt registered the required signatures as described here

https://docs.ros.org/en/humble/Instal...

Thanks

when you said steps, do you mean to follow the codes that you can copy and paste? or am I missing something? where should I start?

Hey,

what i implied to say was, can you elaborate more on the error. Posting the error line cannot give complete idea of what problem you are facing. Also what was the source of the tutorial you followed for installing ROS2 was it the official documentation? If you could mention it maybe i could help. Thanks

hey!, so yesterday I kind of got annoyed about it and I format the ubuntu 20.04 from my computer and I installed version 22.04 which I've installed before for the first time and it was working fine. I just changed to version 20.04 because some tutorials they were using this version. Anyways I'm back with 22.04 I still didn't install Ros2 yet, so we could start from there.

I use Ubuntu (Debian) which says is recommended, then it has this "Resources" part which I don't know what's for, then "Set locale" which I copy and paste the code and go from there.

jammy indicates that you are trying to install the ROS 2 version for Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy Jellifish). Seems like you clicked on the wrong link. For Ubuntu 20.04 you need to follow these instructions: https://docs.ros.org/en/foxy/Installation.html

Did you substitue "jammy" with "foxy"? Thats wrong. Just follow the tutorial step by step

so I change everything with Jammy with foxy?
