The repository jammy release does not have a release file

Hi, I'm new to ROS and trying to install it in on Ubuntu with VM.

I'm following on this guide:

http://wiki.ros.org/noetic/Installati...

But get this error:

the repository 'http://packages.ros.org/ros/ubuntu jammy release' does not have a release file

What can be the issue?

I installed Ubuntu 22.04

Noetic is not supported on Ubuntu Jammy.

Hi, Thanks. Which Ubuntu should I download to make it work? I tried installed older version 20.04, but now I get different error:

"The repository Ubuntu focal InRelease is not signed" "Unable to locate package ros-noetic-desktop-full"

Please check you've successfully executed all steps in the installation tutorial.

The error you mention could be caused by not having imported the repository key correctly.
