I would like to move an object made in urdf

I would like to control a robot made it in xml and watch it in rviz. I have some problems because I want to do it manual without robot_state_publisher and joint_state_publisher. Mi main question is how can I create a node of my model to subscribe it topics like /joinstates. or /cmd_vel something like that
