Invoking "make -j4 -l4" failed when input catkin_make

Hi, I am new to ROS and get this Problem Invoking "make -j4 -l4" failed when input catkin_make. Here is cmd show me: Base path: /home/ubuntu/mnpp_ws

This package for Quadruped, it's a cool idea but it is fairly new, little support. Are you using Raspberry Pi? If so which one? Do you have installation instructions, do they recommend ROS Noetic?

Hi osilva,I use raspberry pi 4, yes i have followed the instructions. I am using Ubuntu which supports noetic if I am not mistaken. Do you have any idea or what kind of the Problem , that I am facing.

It’s similar to an issue I have seen with Cartographer in Noetic with Gazebo libraries

Not easy fix as you need to migrate the code that was developed for an older issue in Gazebo.

The recommended installation is in Ubuntu 18.04 meaning most likely they are using ROS Melodic. It makes sense as they are using an older OpenCV functions. But this creates a problem when you are building in ROS Noetic due to incompatibility in Gazebo versions. I’d recommend to switch to Melodic in this case.

They just realeasing the new instruction for the Ubuntu 20.04 : https://mangdang-minipupperdocs.readt...https://drive.google.com/drive/folder... So i think i should work with noetic since they just realsing. You can find it in the slam.word in google drive

Definitely a package issue. Best way is to raise an issue in their repo. Alternatively consider using Melodic
