ROS master on vps

I have a robot ready for work connected with a web app previewing a map and following certain position in map linked to button in the web app. My next step is to put the web app in a server(VPS). I don't know what are the best practices? to do this I tried running roscore in the VPS and connecting all nodes to the Server so all communications goes through the server but I was unsuccessful. I want to ask for the best practices to be able to communicate my app with the robot.
