Is it possible to connect a docker container to a remote ROS master on same LAN using macvlan network settings?

I just want to know if it's possible, or am I wasting my time trying to achieve this. I've found a bunch of ways to establish tcp between host and docker containers, but I cannot seem to get it working with other machines.
