Slam_toolbox no map received
I know this question has been asked multiple times, but there are no good answers. It seems to be a legitimate issue at this point. I am using ROS melodic. Part of me wonders if this is an issue specific to ROS1.
When launching Slam_toolbox, I am not able to generate a map. In fact the "/map" topic is silent. For reference, I can successfully produce a map with gmapping, and have only changed the launch file to call the Slam_toolbox launch file. Attached is my tf tree, which appears to be correct (or at least exactly the same as gmapping which works, but with gmapping replaced with Slam_toolbox).
Any help or advice would be much appreciated. If there is more info that would be helpful I am happy to provide.
