Can services only use ROSTCP?
I am currently learning about how the underlying communication of ROS1
is working. I found this great ROS Wiki articale that covers this topic. One thing that i noticed is that in the service connection section of this article only ROSTCP
is mentioned. I want to make sure that I understand correctly:
Does that mean that services can't use ROSUDP
at all and are always using ROSTCP
?
Afaik and IIRC: yes, services only use the
TCPROS
