Use ROS2 Dashing with Ubuntu 20.04

Hello, is there a way to use/install ROS2 Dashing on a Ubuntu 20.04 machine? Perhaps a docker container or somehting like this? Thanks.

Yes is possible using Docker or building from source.

Your options:

  • Containerization. If you want to use Docker to do so, the ros:dashing image from the ROS Dockerhub will help.
  • Building from source. I would advice against this, because your package manager won't have access to the appropriate debians.
