How do I create/start a launch file so that it will run with roslaunch?
I am following through this tutorial: http://wiki.ros.org/ROS/Tutorials/Usi...
I have ROS noetic on Ubuntu 20.
I have created the turtlemimic.launch.xml file, and put what I copied straight from the tutorial into it, in the file specified by the tutorial. (or at least I thought I had done these things, as the file shows up in my file viewer, and I can open it and see exactly what is in the tutorial. However, it gives me the following error:
/catkin_ws/src/beginner_tutorials$ roslaunch beginner_tutorials turtlemimic.launch.xml
RLException: [turtlemimic.launch.xml] is neither a launch file in package [beginner_tutorials] nor is [beginner_tutorials] a launch file name
The traceback for the exception was written to the log file
I have also tried omitting the .xml tag, I get the same error.
What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it so that my launch file will run?
That error usually means ROS can't find the specified file. Did you source your workspace?
