unable to find ros packages folders

After completing installation of ros and catkin , I am unable to find their folders in file explorer . I am using ubuntu wsl2.
Also, even after creating a new package , I am unable to find their folders when I manually go to my pc. But these are present when searched through ubuntu terminal commands such as ROS_PACKAGE_PATH etc .
