Laptop running very slow after vmware installed for ros

I installed vmware to run ros on my windows 10 . But it has made my laptop very slow . Any solutions to increase speed of laptop or alternatives to run ros on vmware ?

Unfortunately we can't support your VM software. Have you tried using Docker as an alternative?

How to use docker ? Do all ros functionalities work in it with no speed issues ?
