[ROS2] ROS2 DDS multicast discovery over VPN

On a ROS2 system, has anyone tried multicast over VPN for DDS discovery? Most VPNs / firewall appliances do not support this, but was wondering if anyone has had specifically tried over a SonicWall type firewall appliance.
