ROS2 Navigation2 install on MacOS

I'd like to install ROS2 Navigation2 on my Macbook (Mojave) and have not been able to find any clear instructions on how to do that. I tried cloning the Nav2 repository but was then unable to run "rosdep init" because it failed with: "ERROR: Unable to download default sources from list". I couldn't find any solutions for this on MacOS either.

So my question: Is the ROS2 Navigation stack supported on MacOS? If so, could someone ofter clear instructions on how to install it. Thank You.

Your error has nothing to do with navigation2, but rosdep.

I was hoping that a clear install guide for would include how to get rosdep functioning on MacOS if that is indeed needed. Should I file a new question on rosdep?
