optoforce F/T sensor not working on Ubuntu 20.04

Hi

I have a ROS node for Optoforce F/T sensor (HEX-70-CE-2000N) which works fine on a desktop having ROS kinetic, USB 2.0 and Ubuntu 16.04 but the same node is not working on a laptop having ROS noetic, USB 3.0, and Ubuntu 20.04.

Any suggestion would be appreciated in terms of any USB package that I maybe missing or maybe some other stuff. Thank you in advance for your time and effort.

please provide details:

  • what does "not work" mean? not compiling? not running? not providing the expected output?
  • what do you expect to happen?
  • which package is it? Please add link or add the relevant source code to the question?

By 'not working' I mean the output is "No sensor available"

Sorry, can't help further. this is very specific. Maybe check that you have the proper access rights whatever port you want to open. Also, check that the lib you have in there can actually work on Ubuntu 20.04. That's quite a step from 16.04. There might be some incompatabilities...
