where are rosbag/rosbag2 packages in bouncy?

Hi,

I installed ros bouncy on a ubuntu 18.04 LTS using the debian packages. I can not find rosbag or rosbag2 related deb packages at all and ros2 bag command is not recognized. apt search doesn't return any results with 'bag' in them. Also would like to know how to check the version of a bag file.

Bouncy is really old and also EOL (for quite some time now), see: REP 2000: ROS 2 Releases and Target Platforms.

The likely cause of your problem is that rosbag2 just wasn't around when Bouncy was released.

If you don't have an absolute need to install Bouncy, I would recommend you upgrade to at least Eloquent, which can also still be installed on 18.04.
