rqt_image_view only displays gray gradient

I move the robotic arm to face the blocks and then try to get the camera image using rqt_image_view /rgb_camera/image_raw

All I get is the gray scale image shown below

No image is displayed because I use an old version of VMWare Player (my PC doesn't support the latest version), which doesn't recognize my Video Card. I tried the same code on Virtualbox and it worked.
