nxt fuerte

Greetings everyone

I've just installed fuerte and i finished all the beginner tutorials, and i would like to start with my nxt robot and an arduino. The thing is that i cant find instructions to install it fort fuerte, Am i able to install it using the instruction for electric? if not how do I install it? in advance thanks for your help

Unfortunately, there is not a nxtall package for fuerte yet. Have you considered installing electric on your system? There are not a lot of libraries for the arduino and nxt, and I think the best support for those systems would be in electric (the nxt recommends you install diamondback, but the arduino rosserial system works better [from my experiences] in electric).

I would avoid installing from source at ALL COST. Follow the tutorial here and downgrade your version of Ubuntu to something like 10.04 LTS. Then, install electric using your package manager.

Hi there thanks for your answer !!

I'vew tried with oneric and electric, but i cant run the first tutorial. when i try to run touch_sensor_test.py it tells me that [rospack] couldn't find package [nxt_python] so i tried to find it myself, aso i whent to /opt/ros/electric/stacks/nxt/learning_nxt/src and its empty. i tried also rospack find touch_sensor_test.py with the same result

Thanks for your answer but now i have some other questions.

do i have to get rid of fuerte in order to install electric? where do i get the source of electric for ubuntu 12.4 precise pangolin? (which is the ubuntu i have installed)
