velocity coontrol of end effector

Currently i am looking to control velocity of end effector. As i know moveit is not used to control velocity it helps only in position control. if someone can guide me, what content to read and where to start.

On melodic and newer versions of MoveIt!, there is the arm jogging feature. Which was recently renamed to moveit_servo. Assuming your arm supports the right interfaces, this could be a very easy way to achieve end-effector velocity control
