Has anyone with RosOnWindows (10 and melodic) had problems with hector_slam? Specifically geotiff_node not starting.
All the other processes started except for the geotiff_node. Which gets kicked off inside of geotiff_mapper_launch called by tutorial.launch. The specific issue appears to be in the <node pkg="statement." if="" i="" comment="" out="" that="" statement,="" and="" use="" "rosrun="" hector_geotiff="" geotiff_node.exe",="" the="" node="" will="" start.="" and="" if="" i="" then="" issue="" "roslaunch="" hector_slam_launch="" tutorial.launch",="" it="" all="" starts="" up="" including="" rviz,="" etc.="" off="" course="" some="" key="" parameters="" from="" the="" node="" pkg="" statement="" are="" missing="" now,="" and="" are="" vital="" for="" things="" to="" work="" including="" the="" map.="" but,="" i="" guess="" it="" targets="" that="" one="" statement="" as="" being="" a="" problem="" for="" me.="" maybe="" it="" has="" a="" problem="" due="" to="" the="" os="" being="" windows.<="" p="">
This is the error message with the unedited roslaunch of hector_slam_launch tutorial.launch: [31mRLException: Roslaunch got a 'The system cannot find the file specified' error while attempting to run: nice -n 15 C:\opt\ros\melodic\x64\max_ws\devel\lib\hector_geotiff\geotiff_node.exe map:=/dynamic_map __name:=hector_geotiff_node __log:=C:\Users\jayps.ros\log\252fac5e-ad7d-11ea-b5d2-b885849bd1ac\hector_geotiff_node-6.log Please make sure that all the executables in this command exist and have executable permission. This is often caused by a bad launch-prefix.[0m [31mThe traceback for the exception was written to the log file[0m [hector_geotiff_node-6]
Sidenote: after abend, there is no file called hector_geotiff_node-6 found.
