Connecting to a turtlebot using an AWS linux server

Hi, I am currently doing my senior desing project using a turtlebot3. I don't have a linux server so I am using a free one through amazon AWS. I am connecting to the server using putty, and I having a hardtime figuring out if it is working or not. My main question is if I can connect to the robot using putty that is connected to a remote linux server on amazons network? My guess it is not possible and I will probably need to make my own Linux server. Please let me know
