Error when install kinect with raspberry Pi 3b+

Hi everyone.I'm facing problems when installing kinect 360 with raspberry pi 3b+. When I using Ubuntu Mate 18.04 OS with pi3b+ (Melodic), openni_launch (install from source) error with this reason : USB interface not supported.I looked for many solutions, those said that it was about type of USB port ( USB 3.0),which means Kinect only work with usb 2.0 port, but my raspberry pi only have USB 2.0. Thus I try to install freenect_launch (source) and faced this error : stopping device rgb and depth stream flush, but I can see rgb in rviz for a while. I tried to install Raspian Stretch with ROS Kinetic, guessing it will work, but after installing ROS on Raspbian, I realized that I can't install packages from ROS with apt. So I have to clone any dependencies to build freenect_launch, and it still didnt work. I hope there's a solution to my problem. Thanks for reading and sorry for my english.

If your set up is Ubuntu Bionic (18.04) With ROS Melodic I am afraid that freenect_launch is only compatible with ROS Kinetic. So you have two possibilities: either you change your set up to be Ubuntu Xenial (16.04) with ROS Kinetic or try to use the same OS you have using Openni or trying to build from source the freenect_launch package.

With respect to the error "USB interface not supported" this may help you to find the problem. The kinect 360 only support 2.0 USB ports, so at least you have the compatibility with the rpi.

About the other error "stopping device rgb and depth stream flush", it is NOT an error but a warning as said in this post.

Finally, I recommend you to stick to Ubuntu OS instead of raspbian because of the higher compatibility. You can use PINN to install Ubuntu on the rpi.
