Hi everyone ! I want to install ROS Melodic version, the downloading speed is very slow (downloading with bytes/second), I wait for a ling time and at the end it gives me error that unable to install. But my internet connection is working fine because I have downloaded other software using the terminal and its working normal. Anyone has some suggestion please. How to install ROS ?
The problem is solved. I chose Main server in Download From: option of Software and Updates. Now the ROS can be downloaded successfully.
Try using one of the mirrors listed on wiki/ROS/Installation/UbuntuMirrors.
But my internet connection is working fine because I have downloaded other software using the terminal and its working normal.
While I understand why you write this, just being able to "download[..] other software using the terminal" does not mean things are OK on your side and "the other side" is malfunctioning.
The internet is a complex and heterogeneous system. Results with one part do not translate to other parts of it.
@gvdhoorn thanks for your comment. I stick to the terminal because at the moment I am working with the terminal. I tried on WiFi and wired connection but the problem only exists when I download ROS, I can browse, can download the other softwares through terminal and successfully unpacked.
