MoveIt scripting to plan with a new goal position

I am executing the MoveIt commander and I would like to set a new Goal state pose using the command line. Then, plan the movement and execute.

The console is sending commands and are received in MoveIt properly. I assume that I first have to set the new pose and then 'record' it into the Goal state. What would be the right sequence for that? Thank you.
